Lorenzo Morra
3D Artist • CGI Generalist • VFX Enthusiast
Who I Am
I'm a passionate 3D artist and CGI generalist with a deep love for cinematic imagery. My work spans hard-surface modeling, environment creation, lighting, lookdev, FX and compositing — always with a production-oriented mindset inspired by major VFX studios like ILM, DNEG and Weta.
I thrive on the challenge of pushing renders closer to photorealism while telling compelling visual stories. Whether it's a detailed mecha fan art, a large-scale environment, or a VFX shot recreation, I bring the same cinematic attention to every frame.
My pipeline typically involves Maya for modeling and layout, Houdini for procedural work and FX, V-Ray for rendering, Substance Painter for texturing, and Nuke for compositing. I'm always exploring new tools and techniques to expand my creative toolkit.
What Drives Me
Cinema has always been my biggest inspiration. The work of VFX studios on films like Pacific Rim, Blade Runner 2049, and Dune motivates me to create imagery that feels grounded, atmospheric and emotionally resonant. I believe great CGI is invisible — it serves the story.
